Jobs in Writing for those who Understand Fashion

If you are a writer, and if someone suggested a job in fashion to you, would you be interested? Chances are, you’d think he was trying to be funny (but not doing it very well). It’s no joke though – if you have a great, cool and descriptive way with words, if you have qualifications in journalism, and if you have provable familiarity with the fashion industry, there are jobs in writing here for you that you never would’ve expected. Let’s take a look at the kinds of writing jobs you might expect in the fashion industry.

One of the most popular kinds of jobs in writing that the clothing design business offers are in blogging. Fashion houses and individual designers want to put the word out there about their unique fashion perspective. They really are serious about engaging the medium too – they look for design enthusiasts with experience in blogging about fashion, and ask them to bring fresh outlook to the way their business communicates with fashion followers. It’s all about bringing a sense of freshness to the way people stay in touch with their favorite fashion designers.

Not all jobs in writing and fashion are as unconventional as the blogging one. There are plenty of openings out there for writers who need a regular gig writing about fashion too – copywriters, fashion columnists and editors – positions you’d expect in a conventional magazine. A fashion copywriter is a writer who finds a great way of expressing a (fashion) product’s appeal for an advertisement. Copywriters work for the advertising team in an advertising company or a fashion magazine or a fashion house. In a business such as advertising where every word is used as a weapon of mass appeal, finding the exact right word that’s capable of putting an idea out is the job for a perfectionist, and it pays really well.

Every fashion website on the Internet needs copy. They need dedicated fashion columnists who are deeply in touch with the fashion world and who have great word-from-the-street information on the latest goings-on – who is releasing what fashion line, interviews with up-and-coming designers, opinion pieces – everything that goes into the making of an entertaining fashion read. It’s an aspirational job to many who love writing about fashion, and it pays well.

Also don’t forget to see:
New York Giants vs San Francisco 49ers Live Stream
Watch New York Giants vs San Francisco 49ers Online

Not every writer who comes in with an idea is allowed to write straight off. Just as in any magazine, fresh writing interns at a fashion publication are asked to help out in the capacity of researcher or fact checker first. It gives a writing intern valuable experience in how important it is to get the little things right.

People with talent in writing and an understanding of the fashion industry will find that writing about what they love can certainly take them far.

Camel humps are one of the most fascinating anatomical features in the animal kingdom. Learn how camel humps work and why they’re not filled with water.

Camel humps are the main storage area for body fat. If you notice, camels have almost no fat deposits on any parts of their bodies such as fat, round stomach areas, fat legs, or any fat in other areas animals or people commonly deposit body fat. Camels store almost all their fat reserves in their single or double humps. This fat can then be utilized in times when food is not readily available, making it easy for a camel to survive in arid lands where vegetation to eat may be scarce at times.

The proof that camels do not store water in their humps and do, in fact, store fat in their humps is evident in those cultures where camels are considered a dining delicacy. Many middle eastern countries consume camel as a well-loved protein source. When a camel is butchered and prepared for cooking, the hump may be cut into. Instead, fat deposits are revealed proving exactly what camels store in their humps.

Camel humps are like a back pack with food in it for long desert trips. Camels produce nutrient loaded milk that desert nomads live off of. All camels lose their fur in spring and grow a new coat. A camel looks sleek and slender for several weeks after losing its coat, but a thick coat of new fur grows by autumn. A camel stands from 5’9″ to 6’5″ tall at the shoulders, and weighs from 550 to 1,500 pounds.

Camel humps are not water reservoirs; rather, they’re fleshy fat reservoirs that the animal can use as a source of nutrition when food is scarce. “they can go without water for about 20 days; a cow or a horse would begin to die after two or three days. When a camel is born, its humps are empty. As it grows, the humps fill up in six months to a year. A camel calf is about 150 pounds when it’s born. A camel’s average life span is about 30 years. A third eyelid protects their eyes from dust and sand, and by voluntarily closing their nostrils they can reduce water evaporation. They have padded feet and can walk on sand or snow, but they don’t do well on ice.

At one time, when I was asking around trying to unlock my cell phone, I found out that I should probably word it better when I say that. There is a difference between unlocking iPhones, and jail breaking them. They are two completely different hacks, that give you control over your iPhone in completely different ways. Unlocking, the more popular of these two terms, is the trickery that will let you buy your iPhone from AT&T, and hack into its protective features that keep other networks, like T-Mobiles out. Jail breaking is a hack that will let you use third-party apps on your iPhone, ones Apple doesn’t approve of. And this is something you’ll need to learn to do, as one of the steps on your way to learning to unlock your iPhone.

Now the iPhone 3GS has been impregnable until was recently. Usually, it is a group of self-styled experts that does all the path breaking unlocking and jail breaking on the iPhone – called the Apple Dev Team. With the iPhone 3GS however, a motivated dude named George Hotz beat the Dev Team to the line – with purplesn0w, the latest unlocking tool I found to unlock my cell phone with. The most impressive quality purplesn0w has to recommend it though is that it does its deed with the minimum carnage possible. It only alters three of the iPhone’s original files to get the job done.

I found out how to unlock my cell phone, well, my iPhone 3GS anyway, in just a couple of steps. Let’s assume that you have the jailbreaking process out of the way (using the purplera1n jailbreaking code), and just concentrate on the unlocking process at this time. Before you start with the actual unlocking, make sure you backup iPhone’s contents, because you can never really tell what happens with these risky procedures. If things go awry, we’ll need to reset your phone, an action that would certainly return your phone to the way it was out of the box – no content or numbers at all.

Make sure that your iPhone is properly activated on your real provider first. And then, on the iPhone, you open Settings, then General and finally Network. When you jailbreak your phone with the right software (with purplera1n), it installs on your phone, a strange sounding piece of work called Cydia. You’ll need to use it now. Turn it on, pick the Manage setting. Follow the route Sources – Edit – Add, and then key in a string of nonsense called apt.geohot.purplesn0w. You follow up that beauty with a tap on the Add Source button and the Done button, and, you’re done. I thought that I was good to go with this, but I found out that to unlock my cell phone required one more step and a reboot.

That’s kind of an important step – installing Purplesn0w. You’ll need to search for the package com.geohot.purplesn0w on Cydia on your phone, then install it. Once you’re done, you reboot, and there you go. This is how I’ve learned to unlock my cell phone. Hopefully, this will work for you too, for a good long time.

Every time you step into a Starbucks outlet to sample your favorite brew, you can’t help but wonder why you have to pay five dollars for it. Surely there must be something you can do, something you can buy, that can help you nail that flavor right at home. These are qualities that a brew contains from coffee that comes fresh out of the coffee grinder – fresh for each cup.

Coffee lovers working towards their own homemade coffee recipes, when they discover that they need a coffee grinder right at home to achieve the depth of taste that they are after, simply make an investment in a good model; but then, they ruin their efforts by forgetting that what the need is to grind fresh. They go ahead and grind up a large batch of coffee beans and leave it in a bottle to use it every morning. You don’t get good coffee by grinding at home. You get good coffee by grinding at home fresh for every cup.

Why does it happen this way? Coffee contains coffee oils. Once these are released in the grinding process and exposed to air, they quickly lose their freshness and start becoming rancid – in a matter of minutes. What you want to do is to keep your coffee beans in one piece for as long as possible before you actually need to brew a cup. Since coffee begins to lose its flavor to whatever medium is around it the moment you grind it, what you want to plan for is to get your ground coffee into a cup of hot water just about as soon as it is the ground.

This little insight will certainly help you save quite a bit of money. You simply don’t have to invest in gourmet coffee. All you need is to buy roasted whole beans at any ordinary supermarket. The expensive ground coffee they sell at Starbucks or at Green Mountain certainly are special; but you need to be a real gourmet enthusiast to be able to tell the difference between these and the reasonably-priced stuff you get at the supermarket.

Using the coffee grinder is simple enough. The machine does all the work for you. Don’t grind the coffee too coarsely. If you are looking for a great brew, you want a finely-ground coffee. Remember, the more finely you grind it, the more the coffee is exposed to the water, and the more easily the goodness of the coffee transfers to the water. And you will also end up using less. Once you’re done grinding, make sure that you clean the grinding area with a damp napkin. You don’t want any old coffee sticking to the grinding area. It will turn bad quickly and ruin the coffee you grind the next day.
