It’s in the middle of the face, just hanging there and ruins our looks.
The nose, why don’t we all have the perfect, slim, pretty nose?
A lot of people have a nose job because they are unsatisfied with the look of their nose or nostrils. You can see many celebrities that have nose jobs all the time and more then one surgery. It became so popular because it’s quite easy, not too expensive and can be a life changing.
A nose job is a serious matter if having it at the wrong place. The patient might end up with a crooked, unappealing nose, that doesn’t go with the rest of the face.
When having a bad nose job, a few months should pass by before being able to have a correction surgery, and in the meanwhile the patient has to go with an unaesthetic nose. It’s even worse when the person has to work with people or make a living from his/ her looks. It is one thing to take one long vacation for recovery, but two recovery vacations might be too much and the patient will have to go out in public looking all messed up.
Nose job surgery is a painful unpleasant surgery that requires healing and recovery time, having it more then once is not something everyone would like to do, but getting stuck with a terrible looking nose is even worse.
It is very important to get as much information as possible before having any surgery and to ask the surgeon about the results and alternatives if the result is not to the patient’s satisfactory.
Saving money is good but not when your looks and maybe job is on stake. You should go to the best surgeon with the best reputation even if he takes a little more money or if the list to get to a surgery seems too long. It will be good for you just so you can relax and have the surgery with no worries.

Men are seeking out plastic surgery in much greater numbers these days. Last year over a million cosmetic procedures were performed on men, an increase of over 16 % from the previous year. A few key reasons seem to account for this change:

· Men seem to take greater responsibility for their own health care choices than they did in the past.

· Greater competitiveness in the business world sometimes causes older workers to be seen as slower and less productive. Workers need to look and feel confident to be able to compete with 30-year-olds in the work environment.

· Men want to keep up with their younger-appearing wives. Often, women will lead the way in getting a cosmetic procedure done; their husbands simply feel the need to keep up.

What are the Most Popular Procedures for Men?

Men utilize many of the same procedures that women do. They are built differently than women, however, with facial hair and a higher degree of skin thickness. Their blood supply is also greater. As a result they have a higher risk of bleeding, but they heal well from surgeries.

Some procedures men gravitate toward include:

· Eliminating baggy eyelids with eyelid surgery

· Correcting forehead wrinkles with a brow lift

· Correcting a receding hairline.

· Hair transplants

· Liposuction

· Nose surgery

· Collagen, Restylane, and other injectable fillers

· Microdermabrasion

· Breast reduction (gynecomastia treatment)

Can Men Look Forward to New Options?

New wrinkle and line fillers like Restylane and Perlane get rid of men’s deep wrinkles and folds. Vaser, a new form of liposuction, eliminates double chins and other excess areas of fat on the body. The surgeon sculpts the human body with Vaser, giving body contouring better results than ever. Liposuction is a terrific procedure that assists men who diet and exercise rigorously but still cannot attain their ideal physique. Liposuction can also reduce male breasts.

Some men opt for surgically placed pectoral implants or calf implants to increase the muscularity of their form. Body contouring can also lift buttocks, shape thighs, arms and stomach to eliminate excess skin. This is often a post weight loss procedure.

To best learn how you will feel post-op, walk through your home with your arms duct taped to your sides. This is about the range of motion you will poses after to surgery. If there is something you can not reach, such as dishes, pots and pans, your phone, etc., you will need to rearrange. All necessary items will need to be placed within this comfort zone for at least two weeks after surgery.

Pain medications prescribed after surgery will make you feel nauseous. Light, dry foods can help combat this, as well as prescription medications your doctor may give you. It is a good idea to go grocery shopping and get at least two weeks worth of supplies. Buy light foods, such as crackers, soups, apple sauce and fruits. Foods that require little or no preparation and are nutritious are highly recommended.

Cook a few meals ahead of time. If you are prone to heartburn stay away from tomato based dishes. Soft foods and foods that will not require cutting are best. Good examples of pre-cooked meals that can be frozen and reheated easily are chili, spaghetti, vegetable soup, stew, runzas, etc.

Clean your house top to bottom. Do all your laundry, change your sheets on your bed and set up a bed on your couch. Get any vacuuming and dusting out of the way now, as you will not feel like doing it for at least two weeks post-op. Make sure to have new bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your shower, as squeezing out of old bottles will be painful for a while.

Find all your loose fitting, comfortable, soft clothing and set it out. You will not want to search for these things after surgery. Button up shirts are recommended. Pullover sweaters are basically a bad idea, as you will stretch your range of motion beyond what is comfortable or wise. Buy several bras that are unpadded and are the appropriate cup size for after your breast augmentation.

Breast augmentation recovery, while painful, can be made easier by following these common sense tips. If you have questions or concerns, you may contact Dr. Calvert’s office or schedule a consultation by visiting http://www.drcalvert.com/.

Many people are not satisfied with their noses; it could be that they were born with their noses unbalanced, or that their nose had been damaged at some time and needs to have a nose reshaping.

Who would be candidates for a nose reshaping?

If a nose is broken nose reshaping surgery may be the best option. Depending on the severity of the damage, a cosmetic surgeon will first wait for the swelling to go down before making an assessment. Tests, x-rays and examination will give the cosmetic surgeon a clear picture of what needs to be done. This will be discussed with the patient.

Cosmetic surgery for a nose reshaping can be done to modify the size, shape, and general appearance of the nose. It can be done to reshape the tip of the nose, narrow the bridge of the nose, to widen or narrow the nostrils, straighten a crocked nose, alter the angle between the nose and lip.

The incisions that are required in this procedure are carefully placed inconspicuously outside the nose, or hidden inside the nose. Cosmetic surgeons aim for minimal scarring and maintain a natural look as a result.

Candidates will be screened for overall health, and whether they can endure the surgery, if they are emotionally prepared before undergoing the knife.

Looking for a cosmetic surgeon is easy enough your local GP will have a list of cosmetic surgeons he or she can recommend, friends who have had satisfactory results will also be able to recommend a surgeon, and research on the internet for cosmetic surgeons will give you enough hits to help you locate one near to you and who would be suitable to do the job.

The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia, depending on the amount of work to be done, and over night stay may be necessary.

Recovery is usually about a week to ten days, discoloration will begin to disappear within a few days, and make–up can be applied several days after surgery. Avoid bending, straining and lifting objects for the early part of post operative situation. Normal activities and some exercise can be resumed within a three week period.
