I don’t like the idea of sleeping throughout it (general anesthesia). Also cos, it’s likely that I will vomit. I heard they do it in India and Dubai. So, would the surgeon allow me to have a LOCAL anesthesia (just around my nose)?

Sure, if your surgeon is up for it. When they start chiseling bone, though, you might wish that you were under. It is NOT a delicate procedure. They use a chisel and mallet, no lie.
TIVA is general anesthesia. It’s just a different technique. We also have some good drugs to prevent nausea and vomiting now.
yes, there are other options than “general anesthesia”
